Rekordgewinn: "Game of Thrones" sahnt 38. Emmy Award ab

Was für eine rauschende Nacht in Los Angeles! Im Microsoft Theater fieberte die Schauspieler-Riege der Traumfabrik auf ihren Plätzen der Verkündung der Sieger der diesjährigen Emmy Awards entgegen. Natürlich wurde auch der Fantasy-Epos Game of Thrones mit 23 Nominierungen im Laufe des Abends als Gewinner verkündet. Doch auch andere Serien mauserten sich zu echten Abräumern.

Über drei Awards durfte sich die Mini-Serie "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" freuen. Die Show stellt regelmäßig bekannte Rechtsfälle der Vereinigten Staaten vor und thematisierte in den ausgezeichneten Episoden die Mordanklage von Football-Star O.J. Simpson (69). Neben der Mini-Serie entwickelte sich auch die Comedy-Story "Veep" zu einem waschechten Gewinner: Sie wurde als beste Comedy und für den besten Gastauftritt ausgezeichnet und auch Hauptdarstellerin Julia Louis-Dreyfus (55) gewann für ihre "Veep"-Rolle einen Emmy.

Vor allem aber "Game of Thrones" ging an diesem Abend alles andere als leer aus. Der Cast der Erfolgsserie nahm den Preis in der Königsdisziplin "Bestes Drama" entgegen. Damit gewann die Serie mittlerweile ihren 38. Emmy und führt damit die Rekordliste an. In der angefügten Auflistung seht ihr die übrigen Gewinner der Emmy Awards 2016.
